Sanctuary Choir
The Sanctuary Choir of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church consists of singers from diverse ages. The selected music consists of Hymns, Anthems, Contemporary and Traditional Gospel songs. The director, Sister Judith Thomas along with husband and organist, Brother Hervé Thomas engage the choir members in praise worthy practices as they learn 2 to 3 new songs during each rehearsal. The choir also features two additional co-directors Sister Mattie Parrish and Brother Morris Walker.
The Sanctuary Choir renders Praise and Worship during the 7 a.m. church service every 3rd Sunday. The members of the Sanctuary Choir also participate in the Rays of Hope Choir, at designated funerals and by special invitation. They host an annual musical in September. They are open to new members to come join them in singing praises to the Lord. Choir rehearsals are scheduled on the 2nd Tuesday and 2nd Thursday monthly at 7pm.
