Children/Youth/Young Adult Choir
The Children's Choir of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church invite children ages 2 - 12 years of age. Sister Rhonda McIver Jackson, Director under the leadership of Sister Angela Quinlan, Director of Children's Ministry, are teaching children how to focus on uplifting the Name of the Lord in song. The Children's Choir sing inspirational, energetic and age appropriate Christian songs that focus on the goodness of the Lord. The children of the choir actively participate in various church ministries and auxiliaries. They also participate in an annual Christmas celebration during the holidays.
The Inspirational Choir (Youth/Young Adults) of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church is one of the oldest choirs at New Hope. The singers of the Inspirational Choir (ages 15-25) belt out Contemporary Gospel songs with a touch of a new traditional flavor. Sister Rhonda McIver Jackson, Director works closely with the young singers helping them to sing to their potential to the Glory of God.
The Children's and Inspirational Combined Choirs practice the Saturday before the first and second Sunday and sing together on the second Sunday of each month during the 10 a.m. service. They also sing during special occasions. The singers wear detailed silk-screened t-shirts and jeans that capture the essence of who they are singing about during their worship.
The Children's and Inspirational Combined Choirs host an annual musical during Graduation Sunday in June where they feature the talents of those singing and other youth and young adults alike. They also engage in the Back to School Program.
