Deaconess Ministry
A Deaconess is the wife (widow) of an ordained Deacon at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. A Deaconess is a baptized believer who shares a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. The Deaconess participates in serving communion and assists with baptism. A Deaconess supports the board by actively participating to:
1) Glorify God through Praise Worship and Commitment;
2) Teach and Train the Body of Christ;
3) Address the Needs of People;
4) Exemplify a Positive, Contagious Christian Attitude;
5) Realize the Importance of Shared Knowledge of Kingdom Building;
6) Win and Nurture Persons in Christ; and,
7) Be A Community of Love as Exemplified by the Example of Christ.
The Deaconess also participates in church activities and services.
